Blutrol is an iPad hack that allows you to control many original iPad games with a physical iPad game controller.
There are so many great games for the iPad, that make it a powerful gaming console. However, it is missing one very important gaming feature. It is missing a physical controller, like a D-Pad, or a joystick.
Many third party companies are aware of this shortage, and are already supplying many different types of iPad game controllers. Some of those controllers work without the need of a jailbreak, and work with a specific number of games, while the other type of controllers require jailbreaking your iPad and work on classic games through an iPad emulator.
Whichever the case, and whichever controller you have, the chances are that not every iPad game will work with your controller simply because the game developer didn't know of the controller you have or didn't implement a driver for it.
Therefore, you could end up with an expensive iPad game controller that only works on one, two, or three iPad games. Fortunately, Blutrol is there to solve this complicated problem, and make all your touch games work with only one iPad game controller.

Blutrol is an iPad hack that allows you to assign touch buttons on your iPad screen to actual physical buttons on your iPad game controller. This iPad hack supports most common iPad controllers available in the market including the Wii Remote or WiiMote. Therefore, it must read your iPad game controller first before you could make the key assignments.
Adding an iPad Game:
Adding an iOS game to Blutrol is easy. First of all, the game you want to add must have the option of touch controls, so you can't assign a game that uses the accelerometer for example, and you can't assign a game that use sliding touches like 'Cut the Rope' or 'Fruit Ninja'. Many games like Crazy Taxi gives the option to either use the accelerometer or use on screen touch buttons. Always use the on screen buttons with Blutrol.
The second thing you need is to take a screen capture of the game while it is running showing the on screen controls. To capture a screen shot, simply press the home button and the power button at the same time. A screen shot will go to your camera roll.
When you start Blutrol, the first screen allows you add games. Simply tap the 'Plus' button which will give you the game selection and assignment screen.
From the following screen, tap the 'Game' button to choose a game. In this example, I will choose Crazy Taxi Game. I will add physical buttons to Crazy Taxi using my Wii Remote which is a controller that is compatible with this game hack.
Once you tap the game button a list of all games installed on your iPad will show up. So, I pick Crazy Taxi as I already took a screen shot of this game in my camera roll.
The next step is to pick your screen shot from your iPad Camera Roll as shown bellow. So I tap the Landscape button which opens my Camera Roll pictures and I look for the Crazy Taxi picture I took earlier.
The final step is to pick your controller, and assign buttons on your game from the screen shot to the actual physical buttons on your iPad game controller. In this example, I select the Wii Remote controller.
We need to assign the physical buttons of the Wii Remote to the buttons on the iPad screen shot. When you select your controller, you could choose Portrait or Landscape depending on the game orientation. Since Crazy Taxi is a Landscape game, I tap Landscape.

The big circle is the D-Pad on the Wii Remote. So each controller you pick will have a different sets of buttons depending on how many physical buttons the controller has.
Now depending on how you want to hold the Wii remote, and how you want to control the game you can start assigning your physical Wii Remote buttons to the buttons on the screen. Simply tap and drag any of the circles want to use and drop it on top of the button on the screen.

As you can see below, I assign the circle with number 2 which is the physical 2 button on the Wii Remote, to the gas button on the touch screen. I just drag and move the number 2 circle button on top of the gas pedal, and move the number 1 button to the reverse button, and move the stick which is the big circle to the left and right buttons. That is it, Crazy Taxi can now be controlled with my Wii Remote. The game requires only three buttons.
So, to begin, make sure the Wii Remote is actually connected to Blutrol through bluetooth. Simply tab the 'Controller' button at the bottom of the screen as shown below, and then tap the 'Connect' button. You must have the Wii Remote in discovery mode by pressing the number 1 and number 2 buttons simultaneously for three seconds. Once the Wii Remote is recognized by Blutrol, simply select it to finish the connection.
Now you can exit Blutrol, and start Crazy Taxi as normal. Make sure you are in the touch controls in Crazy taxi. You can do the same thing to control many other iPad games with touch screen controls using your Wii Remote or many other supported iPad game controllers.
